Nesowadnehunk Lake Wilderness Campground operates as a full-service hunting and fishing outfitter in Northern Maine's backcountry, 47 miles north of Millinocket. The operation is veteran-owned and offers a 10% discount for all military service and law enforcement officers.
The hunting division, Bullets & Broadheads Guide Service, specializes in fully guided hunts tailored to each hunter's experience level and goals. All hunts include lodging, professional guide services, transportation to and from hunting sites, game retrieval, and transport to tagging stations.
Bear Hunting - Full week guided baited bear hunt – $2,500+ tax (lodging included, no meals) - Full week guided trapping bear hunt – $2,000+ tax (lodging included, no meals) - Meals available for parties of 4 or more upon request
Moose Hunting - Full week guided cow moose hunt – $3,800 (includes lodging for permit holder and substitute, no meals) - Full week guided bull moose hunt – $7,500 (includes lodging, substitute, and 3 meals daily) - Outfitter hunts available in zones 1, 2, and 3 upon request - Maine moose season runs late September through mid-October (lottery permit required) - Trophy bull moose can exceed 1,000 pounds dressed weight with 50-60 inch rack spread - All moose reservations require 7-night minimum (Sunday-Sunday), 50% non-refundable deposit

All hunts require 50% deposit at booking, signed liability waiver, and guide service contract. Hunters must provide their own weapon, ammunition, and appropriate hunting licenses from their home state.
Nesowadnehunk Lake is Maine's largest fly-fishing-only lake and sits within pristine Baxter State Park territory. According to Maine state fisheries biologists, the lake has an excellent "fish caught per hour" ratio compared to other Maine lakes. Native brook trout average 9-13 inches with some reaching 20+ inches.

Nesowadnehunk is located 47 miles from Millinocket. From I-95 Exit 244, take Route 157 west through Millinocket. Continue on State Road toward Baxter State Park for 10 miles until reaching the North Woods Trading Post. Turn left onto the Golden Road (19.3 miles), then Telos Road (11.3 miles). Follow camp signs for final 7+ miles of primitive road access. The remote location ensures true wilderness hunting and fishing experiences.
