Outdoor Solutions started as a hunting and fishing outfitter in 2003 and eventually founded their long-range schools out of necessity. After years of sending big game hunters around the globe, they realized most clients had never shot beyond 100 yards—a serious problem when your hunt depends on reliable 400+ yard shots.

They originally ran the Texas and Utah long-range classes for the NRA Outdoors program starting in 2012. Now operating independently as Outdoor Solutions Corp, they continue the same curriculum and instructor quality.

Hamlin Location: 45 minutes southeast of Lubbock | Spur Location: Multiple courses offered - Known distance range: AR 500 steel targets at 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900, 1,000 yards - 8 individual shooting lanes with enclosed shoot house, concrete floors, custom benches - Hunting scenario ranges: Small West Texas canyons, large plateaus, natural terrain from deadfall to backpack shooting - Distances: Under 100 yards (offhand) to almost 900 yards, focus 400-600 yard range - Lodging: 8 double-occupancy cabins (two queen beds each, private bathrooms), commercial kitchen, dining room - Range to lodge: Short side-by-side ATV ride

Coalville Location - 1,000-yard known distance range with mountain backdrop (scenic training ground) - Hunting scenario ranges: Draws, canyons with challenging wind calls, elevation changes throughout - Western terrain specifically chosen to prepare for actual hunting conditions - Lodging: 8 bedrooms with various configurations, large fireplace, wall of windows overlooking Utah terrain - Range to lodge: 5-minute UTV ride - Note: This location uses event tents for weather protection rather than permanent range house

Unlike many long-range schools that push expensive custom builds, Outdoor Solutions uses factory equipment only in their Level 1 and Hunter Prep courses:

2026 courses include regular offerings in Texas and Oklahoma, with spring Utah sessions. Private class options available for groups.

Outdoor Solutions also operates as a full-service outfitter service, booking guided hunts (big game, turkey, upland, waterfowl) and fishing trips (freshwater and saltwater) worldwide. They personally vet every outfitter, handle travel logistics, assist with gear selection, and provide pre/post-trip support.
