RD Tactical Handgun Instruction

RD Tactical Handgun Instruction LLC trains shooters at every level—from weekend target shooters to people carrying for self-defense, plus advanced students refining tactical skills. The instruction staff includes a retired police lieutenant, active law enforcement officer, and certified NRA instructors with combined experience spanning over 100 years.

Don Mailhot, Chief Instructor, spent 25 years as a Lewiston Police Lieutenant before retiring in 2006. He brings lifetime experience across handguns, shotguns, rifles, and tactical training, plus advanced coursework from Sig Academy New Hampshire.

Bill Rousseau, Lead Range Safety Officer and current Lewiston Police Officer, brings 14 years of law enforcement experience and 28 years of shooting experience. He instructs law enforcement pistol, urban rifle, and self-defense courses.

Mike Sasseville is a lifelong Maine resident, former gun shop owner (Main Street Guns and Ammo in the 80s), and NRA certified Range Safety Officer.

Tonya Fons is an NRA certified pistol and rifle instructor, Becoming an Outdoors Woman shooting instructor, and 4-H shooting instructor. She's attended long-range courses in Wyoming.
