SRT Concepts delivers firearms training grounded in actual combat and law enforcement experience. Instructors Peter and Ted structure courses to push students beyond comfort zones while maintaining safety across all skill levels—from complete beginners to experienced shooters looking to sharpen defensive tactics.
Three progressive rifle tracks cover everything from foundational skills to advanced threat management:
- •Tactical Rifle 1.0 ($185, 7 hours) - Entry-level course for AR platform or equivalent. Covers nomenclature, maintenance, tactical fundamentals, stress effects, positions of carry, load/unload/tac-reload, status checks, shooting positions, zeroing, ballistics, malfunction clearing, handgun transitions, and introduction to stress shooting. You'll need AR/equivalent rifle with tactical sling, 3 magazines, 450 rifle rounds, magazine pouches, handgun with holster, 50 handgun rounds, hearing/eye protection.
- •Tactical Rifle 2.0 ($185, 7 hours) - Advances skills with tactical decision-making, unconventional shooting positions, proper cover and concealment use, support-side shooting, shooting while moving, rifle management for doors, room clearing movement, and combined skill exercises.
- •Tactical Rifle 3.0 ($165) - Pushes experienced shooters with tactical speed shooting, one-handed operation (both gun and support hand), multiple threat management, advanced stoppage and malfunction solutions under stress, magazine changes on the move, and multiple stress shooting exercises. Requires 500 rifle rounds and advanced handling skills.
- •Pistol Caliber Rifle ($185) - Dynamic movement with rapid target transitions, complex drills, and live-fire room entries.
- •Rifle Vehicle Tactics ($195) - Fighting in, around, over, and under vehicles using effective cover. Two-handed, gun-hand-only, and support-hand-only techniques.
- •Low-Light Rifle ($120) - Operating in reduced-light with handheld and weapon-mounted lights. Focus on target identification and light discipline.
- •Defensive Handgun 1.0 - Foundation course covering tactical shooting fundamentals, survival mindset, stress effects, and entry-level defensive drills.
- •Defensive Handgun 2.0 ($185, 7 hours) - Seven-hour intermediate course addressing close-distance threat responses. Reviews fundamentals, covers close encounter techniques, multiple firing positions, use of cover, moving off the X. Two-handed and one-handed shooting drills. Engages from concealed carry, ready gun, and compressed ready positions. Requires .380 or greater (slide locks to rear), belt/holster, 3 magazines or 2 speed loaders, 350 handgun rounds, hearing/eye protection. Multiple dates throughout the year.
- •Handgun Vehicle Tactics ($195 single day, $335 both days) - Handgun tactics in, around, over, and under vehicles. Two-handed grip, gun-hand-only, and support-hand-only shooting. Weapon management, exit strategies, multiple firing positions. Requires handgun with holster, 3 magazines, 400+ handgun rounds.
- •Tactical Shotgun 1.0 ($185, 7 hours) - Covers safety and weapon management, ballistics and ammunition, tactical fundamentals, loading/unloading/tactical reloads, multiple shooting positions, transition to pistol, slug transitions, shooting while maneuvering, barricade shooting. Requires pump or semi-automatic shotgun with tactical sling, 250 rounds (buck or birdshot), 40 slugs, handgun with holster and 2 magazines, 50 handgun rounds.
Partnered with She's An Asset, this three-level series is exclusive to women and blends mindset, defensive tactics, and firearms training:
- •Level One: Mindset & Firearm Fundamentals (No live fire) - Mindset and resiliency training with dry-fire practice. Covers safe handling, grip, stance. Includes pepper spray certification and canister. 9am-4pm at Scarborough Fish & Game Club.
- •Level Two: Defensive Tactics & Live Fire - Practical defensive tactics and range drills building on Level One fundamentals.
- •Level Three: Tactics & Scenario Training - Conducted in Brunswick building. Scenario-based training applying defensive skills with emphasis on movement and decision-making.
