Skowhegan Sportsmans Club is a member-run club on East River Road in Skowhegan, Maine, incorporated in 1950. The property is open to the public during announced shoots and includes a heated clubhouse with a full kitchen that seats about 125.
The club maintains a 50-yard pistol range with shooting cover and a 300-yard rifle range with shooting cover. For shotgun sports, there is a combined trap and 5-stand duel field, along with a second trap and skeet dual-use field.
Club and range facilities support hunter safety courses, ATV safety, archery instruction, crossbow safety, first aid, and Stop the Bleed training, along with local law-enforcement qualification use. The club has long partnered with and hosted the Project Appleseed rifle marksmanship program, a two-day event teaching field rifle marksmanship fundamentals with room for overnight camping on the property.
The club draws members from more than 30 surrounding towns and is entirely volunteer-run, supporting local charities and educational programs including an annual scholarship contribution.
