John Mimm founded Crooked Claw Firearms Training to give people the skills and knowledge to defend themselves—and the confidence that comes with it. Whether you've never touched a gun or you're chasing better scores at matches, CCFT meets you where you are.
John holds multiple certifications: NRA Instructor, NRA Range Safety Officer, Maryland State Police Qualified Handgun Instructor, and Utah Concealed Firearm Permit Instructor. He competes in USPSA and IDPA events, so instruction comes from real-world shooting experience.

Classroom training runs out of Eldersburg, MD. Live shooting happens at the range in Owings Mills, MD. Both serve the Baltimore/Washington area.
