Full description and what we offer

DMV Firearms Training specializes in cutting through the regulatory differences between Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia—three states with drastically different concealed carry rules. Rather than guessing, you get instruction from someone who knows what actually works in each jurisdiction.

Virginia Concealed Carry Permits - Resident permits valid in 35 states - Non-resident permits valid in 32 states - Expert guidance on Virginia's shall-issue process

Maryland Wear & Carry Permits - 16-hour course requirement with Maryland State Police certified instructor - 1 hour of range time - Livescan fingerprinting coordination - Valid in 32 additional states - Handles renewal training requirements

Maryland requires a Handgun Qualification License (HQL) to purchase pistols. While legally challenged, it's still required until the appeals process concludes. DMV Firearms Training covers this in their 4-hour HQL class with live fire.

DC Concealed Carry Permits - 16-hour course for residents (2 hours range time) - Non-resident permits available - 16-hour course for non-residents (2 hours range time, unless military-trained) - DC-specific force and use-of-law instruction required even for military exemptions - Valid in 31 other states - Renewal required every 1.5 years with certified instructor

Recent court rulings (NYSRPA v. Bruen in Maryland, Wren v. District of Columbia and Grace v. District of Columbia in DC) eliminated "reasonable cause" requirements. This means you no longer need to prove a specific threat—wanting to carry for self-defense is enough.

Maryland is now a shall-issue state, meaning no extenuating circumstances required. DC eliminated its reasonable cause requirement entirely.

Services include: - Certified handgun instruction - Maryland State Police certified courses - MPD certified DC instruction - Virginia permit guidance - Reciprocity mapping across jurisdictions - Fingerprinting coordination - Renewal course instruction
