Immicor Firearms Training focuses on one thing: teaching people the skills to protect themselves and others. They're affiliated with the NRA and run their operation out of Timonium, Maryland, working with Continental Arms as their range partner.

Debbie Duran, an NRA Certified pistol instructor and State of Maryland Certified handgun instructor, leads the team. She works with shooters regardless of background or experience level—and makes it fun while doing it.

If you're buying a handgun in Maryland after October 1, 2013, you need a Handgun Qualification License (HQL). Immicor's 4-hour HQL + Basic Pistol course (8am-12pm) covers fundamentals, knowledge, skills, and attitude. It's your first step toward a Maryland Wear & Carry Permit.

Day 1 covers Maryland carry laws, traffic stops, constitutional carry and reciprocity, firearm basics, holsters and gear, and draw techniques. Day 2 includes shooting qualification, personal protection systems, defensive shooting fundamentals, legal use of force, violent encounter aftermath, simulated defensive situations, and gunshot wound treatment.

"Every month we have a training day set aside for women only. We partner with women in the Mid-Atlantic region who are experts in their specialty. These classes are typically full the minute they go live on the website."

Women's Basic Firearms & Defense classes happen in a women-only environment with all-female instructors. They offer personal defense, conceal carry, home defense shotgun, AR, and handgun courses.

First Time Gun Owner course: Whether it's pistol, rifle, or shotgun, they teach every aspect of YOUR gun. You're encouraged to bring your own rather than learn on theirs.

Advanced courses include: - Handgun I, II, III (technical pistol work with lots of movement) - Long-range rifle (out to 1,000 yards) - Extreme long-range (1.5 miles) - Carbine (any semi-automatic AR or AK style) - Basic shotgun (sporting purposes) - Tactical shotgun (personal defense)

Private Individual Classes offer one-on-one coaching. Instructors review your fundamentals, examine every part of your shooting process, and make incremental adjustments. Available for handgun, shotgun, rifle, conceal carry, or advanced training.

Private Group Trainings can be customized for teams, businesses, or organizations.
