Royal United Sporting Clays Course

Royal United Sporting Clays operates a 13-station self-pull course at the North American Rod & Gun Club, a sprawling 180-acre facility bordering Antietam Creek just east of Hagerstown, Maryland. The club was founded in 1939 and is one of the oldest and largest sporting clubs in Washington County.

You'll shoot either 50 or 100 targets—each station has a whiteboard showing your round count. Groups must be a minimum of 2 shooters. The course runs in a loop and is easily walkable (golf carts welcome if you bring your own). Registration happens at the clubhouse upon arrival.

Score cards, clipboards, and pencils are provided. You'll need your own shotgun and ammunition—12 and 20 gauge shells available on-site at market rate if you don't bring your own. Four loaner guns are available but must be reserved several days in advance by calling 717-202-0388.

The North American Rod & Gun Club offers more than just clays—the facility includes a clubhouse with bar and kitchen (open 6 days a week, closed Mondays), trap and skeet fields, and rifle & pistol ranges. This gives you options beyond sporting clays.

No license required. All participants must complete and sign a liability form; parents/guardians sign for minors under 18. Children can participate if they weigh over 90 lbs. (NSCA recommendation). Bring adequate ear and eye protection.
