Tuckahoe Gunworks & Hydrographics operates as a Federally Licensed Firearms Manufacturer (Type 07) on Maryland's Eastern Shore, meaning they can work on any firearm you legally possess. This veteran-owned business brings over 20 years of gunsmithing experience and holds factory certifications with both Cerakote and TWN Industries (hydrographics).

Custom finishing and gunsmithing work is their core business—from one-off custom projects to production runs. Whether you want a complete aesthetic overhaul, custom engraving, precision gunsmithing, or a combination of services, they handle it with the same attention to detail regardless of project size.

The process is straightforward:

1. Submit your design – Describe what you want, include photos or links to inspiration through their contact form 2. Browse their gallery – Check their Facebook and Instagram for completed examples 3. Get an estimate – They'll define requirements and pricing 4. Deposit & timeline – 50% deposit starts your project; custom items (barrels, etc.) require full payment upfront and are non-refundable

You can ship your firearm to their Denton, Maryland location or drop it off in person (by appointment only). They'll give you an estimated completion time when your project arrives. Once finished, they contact you for final payment and pickup. Important ATF requirement: The person dropping off a firearm must be present for pickup.

The facility is fully insured and operated in compliance with all federal (ATF), state, and local regulations. They take compliance seriously—if there's any question about the legal status of a firearm or its owner, they contact law enforcement. The premises have audio and video recording active at all times.
