Weapon Shield products are manufactured by Rattac Technologies, a Washington-based company founded in February 2023 by Tom Spithaler. The lineup includes CLP formulations, specialty solvents, and lubricants engineered using ABF Technology—a patented advanced boundary film lubrication system developed by Dr. George C. Fennell.

Dr. Fennell, a scientist with nearly 50 years in lubrication research and tribology, formulated the proprietary electro-chemical ionization (ECI) process that activates Advanced Boundary Film. This isn't marketing speak—competitors have tried to replicate it since launch and none have come close. Fennell holds credentials from SAE, ASNE, NCMA, and STLE.
