Own FP7 Hunt?
01 // DETAILS
Full description and what we offer
FP7 Hunt provides hunters with straightforward, current information on hunting opportunities across Massachusetts. The state offers legitimate hunting despite high population density and hunting pressure, especially during peak seasons.
The state's Division of Fisheries and Wildlife (MassWildlife) sets seasons to manage wildlife populations while supporting hunting opportunities. Key seasons include:
White-tailed Deer: Archery runs early October through late November, with shotgun season late November to mid-December, and primitive firearms mid- to late December.
Black Bear: Early September through early November (varies by zone) as bear populations expand in central and western Massachusetts.
Wild Turkey: Spring season (late April through late May) focuses on gobblers during breeding season. Fall hunting (early October through late November) allows either sex and requires more complex strategies.
Waterfowl & Upland Game: Ducks, geese, and coots run early October through late January. Pheasant, ruffed grouse, quail, and woodcock run early October through late November.
