MetroWest Tactical runs one of the most active action shooting sports communities in the Boston metro area. Based out of Harvard Sportsmen's Club in Harvard, MA, this all-volunteer group organizes regular pistol matches, practice sessions, and competitive events for shooters focused on practical marksmanship and defensive shooting skills.
Regular open practice happens 6:00-9:00 PM on the 2nd and 4th Monday of every month at the Harvard Sportsmen's Club indoor range. The club basement houses the indoor range where all practice sessions run. New shooters should bring whatever pistol and gear they already have for their first session. For subsequent practices, you'll need:
First-timer? Just show up with your gear. MWT members provide coaching and guidance for all skill levels.

Competition disciplines include: - Defensive Action (DA) matches - IDPA (International Defensive Pistol Association) Tier 1 Club Matches - Tier IV Regional Championships - 2-Gun and PCC (Pistol Caliber Carbine) events - Special themed matches ("Friends of Revolver," "Bring Back the Irons," "Patriot PCC Shootout")
MWT enforces the Four Rules of Firearms Safety without exception. The club runs a cold range only — no firearms are loaded except at the direct command of a Range Officer during courses of fire. Any shooter breaking mandatory safety rules is immediately disqualified and removed from the match.
Special shotgun restrictions apply on the Harvard Sportsmen's property: - Shotguns must be carried with action visibly open, muzzle to sky - Shotguns cannot be brought indoors or into the clubhouse - Violation results in immediate disqualification

From I-495: 1. Take Route 2 West 2. Exit 39 (Taylor St) - turn left 3. First left onto Porter Rd 4. Follow to end, left onto Whitcomb Ave 5. Whitcomb becomes Littleton County Rd 6. After 1.3 miles, look for sign and driveway on left
Once inside the club property, drive straight to the large open parking lot. Outdoor 7-25-50 yard ranges are on the left. The clubhouse is on the right.
MWT maintains an active roster of volunteer match directors (MDs) and assistant match directors (AMDs) who run monthly events. The group has been organizing matches continuously since at least 2007, building a strong reputation for well-run competitions with emphasis on safety, fair scoring, and shooter development.
Results from all matches are posted on Practiscore and archived on the MWT website going back years, providing shooters with detailed scoring and stage breakdowns.
