Northampton Revolver Club

Established in October 1933, the Northampton Revolver Club started in a loft above an auto repair shop and has evolved into a serious shooting facility. The club owns 26 acres in Florence (Northampton) and maintains multiple ranges used by members, competitors, and local law enforcement for training.

The club features:

• •Indoor Range: 50-foot heated, well-lit, ventilated pistol range with Savage Arms Snail Trap System (added 1999)
• •Outdoor Ranges: 25-yard, 50-yard, and 100-yard rifle ranges
• •Clubhouse: Viewing area with large windows overlooking the indoor range
• •26 acres: Original woodlot from 1952 deed

Note: No outdoor shooting during school hours (8 a.m.–3 p.m., Sept–June). Exceptions for school holidays and vacations.

The club offers both NRA Basic Pistol (LTC-002) and Massachusetts Chiefs of Police Basic Handgun Safety (LTC-001) courses, taught by certified instructors. Classes meet Massachusetts requirements for License To Carry and Firearms Identification Cards.

Basic Firearm Safety Course: $15 | 6-8 hours | Saturday mornings

The club competes regularly in the Western Massachusetts Pistol League (21 matches per season) and the United States Revolver Association Winter League. Won the league championship in 1996 and placed third in the all-state GOAL championship. Affiliated with the NRA and Gun Owners Action League (GOAL).

Regular membership: $165/year (members must hold valid MA License To Carry or Firearms ID)

Guests are allowed per club policy. The club holds annual open houses and youth sportfests to introduce the community to shooting sports.
