Full description and what we offer
Berg Firearms Training and Tactics is run by John Berg, a retired Chief of Police from Sterling Heights, Michigan. During his 35-year career, Berg supervised criminal investigations, managed the training unit, oversaw the Special Response Team (SRT), and handled emergency management—the kind of experience that translates directly into instruction.
After retiring in 2017, Berg started a consulting company focused on personal and infrastructure security, then expanded into formal firearms instruction. He's certified as an NRA instructor, USCCA instructor, and Texas DPS License to Carry (LTC) instructor. He's instructed hundreds of civilians in safe firearm handling and tactical skills.
All classes run at Reveille Peak Ranch Range (RPR) in Texas, a facility used by the Department of Defense, federal agencies, state and local law enforcement for training. The range supports both long-distance and close-quarters instruction, so courses scale from fundamentals to advanced tactical applications.
