Calumet Township

The Calumet Township Indoor Shooting Range is a public shooting facility located in Calumet, Michigan, offering year-round indoor pistol shooting activities. Situated directly behind the Calumet Colosseum (Ice Rink) at 110 Red Jacket Road, this range serves both competitive shooters and recreational enthusiasts.

The range hosts a variety of organized and open shooting events:

• •Precision (Bullseye) Pistol - NRA Precision Pistol practice and matches in both .22LR and centerfire calibers
• •Action Pistol - International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA) tactical and defensive skills competitions held weekly during winter months
• •Ladies-Only Events - Specialized open shooting sessions for women shooters
• •Public Open Shoots - Open evening and weekend sessions available December through May
• •Air Rifle - Calumet JROTC air rifle sessions (not open to public)
• •Firearm Instruction - Certified instructors occasionally offer concealed carry training and firearms courses

The range is conveniently located behind the Calumet Colosseum. Follow the alley down the left (west) side of the Colosseum to reach the front door. Parking is available along the fence line or in the Colosseum lot—do not block township garage doors or use the Calumet High School parking area.

A Range Safety Officer (RSO) is on duty during all operating hours to assist visitors, answer questions, and conduct mandatory safety briefings for first-time shooters. First-time visitors must complete a liability waiver and safety orientation before using the facility.
