Full description and what we offer
Founded in 1939 as Emmet County Sportsmen's Club, Emmet Clay Sports operates as a non-profit, member-run organization on 95 acres of rolling hardwood forest in the Northwest Lower Peninsula. What started as a traditional sportsmen's club has evolved into one of the Midwest's most complete clay shooting venues.
The club maintains five separate shooting venues:
The Sporting Clays Course covers over 70 acres of picturesque, undulating terrain and features presentations suitable for all skill levels.
The updated clubhouse provides comfortable seating, fireplace, kitchen, restrooms, and a dedicated gun cleaning station. Gas-powered carts are available for rent to navigate the course; walking gun carts are free. Gun rentals (with waiver completion) and ammunition are available at the front counter. Eye and ear protection is required on all ranges.
Membership Options: - Individual, Family, and Corporate annual plans - Includes discounts on clay targets, ammunition, and cart rentals - Members who complete the required "Shooting During Unopened Hours" safety course (every 3 years) gain 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. after-hours access to Skeet, Trap, COOP, and Sporting Clays
The clubhouse and facilities host family outings, corporate team building, and local business events. Contact the club at (231) 526-1135 or [email protected] for group bookings.
Emmet Clay Sports partners with Harbor Springs Outdoor Club to provide shotgun familiarization training for Michigan Hunter Safety Education Program participants in spring and fall. The club also hosts an annual Skeet Tournament and maintains an open monthly Board of Directors meeting.
