Flat River Conservation Club operates dedicated shotgun facilities in Greenville, MI. The range includes:
- •Skeet fields with multiple stations
- •Trap fields with wobble trap and double trap capabilities
- •5-Stand course with 8 traps and adjustable difficulty levels (beginner through advanced)
- •50/100 target Sporting Clays course with 12+ manually trapped stations
- •Lights for nighttime shooting on trap and skeet fields

The club provides limited ammunition and hearing protection on-site. Group outings for 10+ shooters can be customized. Several members are NRA Certified Shotgun Coaches who assist new shooters.
Each season runs a fun league ($68 entry) where shooters complete courses anytime during club hours. Winners receive trophies or Cabela's gift cards. The club also hosts Duck's Unlimited charity shoots.

The rifle and pistol ranges are primarily for members, who may bring up to two guests. Facilities include:
- •7-yard pistol range (pistol only)
- •25-yard rifle/pistol range
- •50/100/200/300-yard rifle ranges
- •Steel plate ranges (pistol caliber only, no magnums)
- •Center fire and .22 rimfire options
Public shooters are welcome to special events and competitions, even if not members.

- •Starts first Monday in December at 7:00 PM
- •10 weeks of competition scoring
- •Three targets, freehand position, all shooting at 50 feet
- •Optics allowed, assistance for new shooters

Runs Tuesday mornings, June 9 through August 11. Shooters can compete at 25 or 50 yards.
- •$5.00 per session
- •Two targets with 25 bullseye targets
- •Any safe .22 Long Rifle with scope allowed; open sights also permitted
- •No limit on scope power
- •Two-piece rests allowed (no one-piece systems)
- •Club provides sandbags
- •Covered shooting stations (rain or shine)
- •Site-in starts at 9:00 AM; scoring begins at 10:00 AM
- •Open to seasoned and beginner shooters

Michigan became a "shall issue" state in 2001 under Public Act 381, making concealed pistol permits available to qualifying residents without needing to demonstrate "need."
Designed to qualify students for exemption from Pistol Free Zones through advanced handgun training against armed aggressors. Currently pending new state legislation for exemption effectiveness.

Free instruction offered seasonally as the "field only" portion of Michigan DNR hunter safety certification.

Flat River Conservation Club is member-operated and volunteer-run. Club meetings held the first Thursday of each month at 7:30 PM at the shotgun clubhouse (west side of M-91).
The club actively seeks younger members to fill board positions and help operate the facility. All board positions are volunteer positions with no paid staff.
