Six Shooters takes the approach that gunsmithing is an art form. Whether you're bringing in your great-grandfather's rusty barn gun or turning a standard 1911 into a work of art, Mike Shafer handles the work with attention to detail. No job is too small—they cover everything from basic cleanings to complete modifications and factory improvements.

General Work - General cleaning ($45) - Mount scope & bore sight ($45) - Service trigger ($45–$75 + parts) - Repair work ($50/hour + parts) - Drill and tap ($15 per hole)

Stock Work - Shorten stock ($60) - Refinish stock ($120+) - Install recoil pad ($45 + pad) - Bedding ($165) - Custom stock work (quoted)

Metal Finishing - Parkerize ($75+) - Bluing ($150+) - Jeweling ($100+) - Fitting and assembly of customer-supplied parts (quoted)

All parts used are factory or factory approved.

They also handle firearms transfers (call first) and sell select firearms including muzzleloaders, shotguns, and specialty pieces.

Mike Shafer is NRA-certified in Basic Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun, Personal Protection, Personal Protection Outside the Home (Levels 1, 2, Advanced), Home Firearm Safety, and Reloading. Hunter safety instruction available for youth and adults.

CPL & Training Classes Offered - Concealed Pistol License course (8 hours, $140) - Personal Protection Refresher (3 hours, $50) - Personal Protection Outside the Home (9 hours Level 1, 5 hours Level 2) - Hunter Safety Classes

Gun rental available for CPL courses ($25, includes ammo).

Mike Shafer is a life member of the NRA and belongs to MCRGO, MGO, MUCC, and IHEA. Stephen Houseal, a retired Army lieutenant colonel and Midland County magistrate, serves as an NRA-certified instructor and runs his own law office handling firearms and self-defense law.

Military/First Responder Discount: 10% off labor for active/retired military, law enforcement, firefighters, and first responders (with proof).
