Full description and what we offer
Tactical Encounters Inc. was conceived in 1995 by a group of SWAT officers after a patrol officer was shot during a foot pursuit. Their core mission: give first responders the same tactical foundation as SWAT personnel so they can survive dangerous encounters.
More than 30 years later, they're Michigan's primary law enforcement training provider, delivering MCOLES-approved instruction across a full spectrum of tactical skills.
Reality-based training with force-on-force scenarios. Officers don't just sit in classrooms. They experience sights, sounds, and stress through scenarios based on actual police encounters—traffic stops, disturbances, robberies in progress, domestic calls. This hard-wires decision-making into muscle memory.
They use Ultimate Training Munitions (UTM) bolts and simmunitions® so officers can apply deadly force decision-making while operating their actual patrol rifles and handguns.
"Officers can gain some knowledge by reading a book or attending a seminar, but to hard-wire it into their subconscious and recall it under stress, officers need to experience the sights, sounds and feel of actual encounters."
