Tyburn Tactical specializes in state-compliant Concealed Pistol License training for West Michigan. Operating out of South Kent Sportsman's Club in Dorr, they serve Grand Rapids, Kent County, Ottawa County, Allegan County, and surrounding areas with structured CPL instruction that meets Michigan legal requirements under MCL 28.425j.

Upon completion, students receive a Michigan CPL training certificate required to apply for a concealed pistol license at their county clerk's office.

The foundational option. Five hours of classroom instruction covering firearm safety, marksmanship fundamentals, and the legal and tactical knowledge needed to avoid violent confrontation. Three hours of supervised range time applies what you learned.
For shooters with some experience. Four classroom hours focus on advanced firearm manipulation and techniques. The course requires 300 rounds of ammunition for the four-hour range portion, where instructors supervise practical application of classroom material. Dry fire exercises prepare students before going live.
Two-day intensive (28 hours total) for those wanting to teach CPL classes. Includes 14 hours of classroom instruction and 2 hours of range time. Students complete eLearning beforehand and a $100 non-refundable deposit holds your seat.
Safety First: Tyburn Tactical enforces strict safety standards. Unsafe or disruptive behavior results in immediate removal with no refund. The instructor has sole discretion on safety violations.

Approximately 20 minutes south of Grand Rapids. Serves students from Grand Rapids, Wyoming, Byron Center, Holland, Zeeland, Wayland, and all of West Michigan.
Regular CPL classes run throughout the year, typically on weekends. USCCA instructor courses are scheduled quarterly. Classes max at 12 students—registration early is recommended.
No prior CPL experience is required. The course is designed for all experience levels.
