Chick-Owa Sportsman's Club is a non-profit organization providing members a safe, family-friendly place to shoot. Located in Holland in Ottawa County, Michigan, the club operates four separate range facilities designed for different shooting sports.
The rifle and pistol ranges received recent improvements and now feature: - Two 25-yard ranges separated by dirt bunkers for safety - One 100-yard range (also used as a 200-yard range for events) - Capacity for up to 14 shooters at the 100-yard range - Open Monday-Saturday, 9am to 9pm or dusk (whichever comes first) - Members only - ranges closed Sundays
The 200-yard range hosts specialized events including CMP (Civilian Marksmanship Program) clinics and fun rifle shooting competitions.
The trap range sits near the clubhouse and handles dedicated trap events. Open trap shooting runs every Thursday at 5:00pm from April through October. The club also hosts: - SCTP (Scholastic Clay Target Program) events - Michigan Hunter Safety courses - Educational programs - Private trap shoot rentals (with Range Safety Officer provided)
The outdoor archery range remains open to members even on Sundays when the gun ranges are closed.
Daily memberships are available during events and public range time. Members receive access to all ranges during operating hours and use of the clubhouse facilities.
The masonry block clubhouse includes: - Main hall with tables and chairs (120-person capacity) - Full kitchen with appliances - Men's and women's restrooms - Heat and A/C - Large outdoor fire pit
Available for family reunions, graduation parties, birthday celebrations, weddings, company outings, and private meetings. Range access (archery, trap, firearms) can be added for additional fees.
Chick-Owa hosts year-round educational programs: - Michigan Hunter Safety training - International Bow Hunters Safety courses - Personal Protection classes - MUCC District 5 meetings (February annually) - Bowling Pin Shoot and other specialty events - Monthly Board of Directors and Membership meetings
