Marion Rod & Gun Club sits one and a half miles northwest of Marion, Michigan, on 77 acres of dedicated shooting grounds. The club was established in 1932 and has evolved into a full-featured facility that hosts everything from casual shooters to sanctioned competitions that draw participants statewide.

The club hosts multiple competitive shoots throughout the year:
Winter 5-Stand League - January through mid-February, Thursday evenings or Sunday afternoons. 4-week format with 3 divisions: Open, Women, and Youth. Cost: $70 members, $7 per additional round.
Ironman Extravaganza - Multi-venue shoot featuring Skeet Doubles, 5-Stand, Wobble Trap, and Sporting Clays in one day (125+ targets). First weekend after Labor Day. Includes fish dinner and gun drawing for all participants.
Small Gauge Ironman - June event for 20-gauge, 28-gauge, and .410 shooters across all four venues.
Ruffed Grouse Society Shoots - Spring sporting clays competition (50 targets).
Side-by-Side Shoots - Low-gun position encouraged fun shoots with 50 targets of sporting clays.
"Where's the Beef" Shoot - Summer sporting clays event. Bring your cooler to win your share.
Feather & Clay Team Competition - Spring team event with shotgun and upland game themes.
Annual membership is $60 per year and includes access to all facilities. No membership required for public shooting during winter hours or to participate in most tournaments—though you'll need to sign up in advance.

Participants consistently praise the grounds maintenance, target presentation, and knowledgeable volunteer staff. The 2019 Ironman Shoot drew 57 competitors from both the lower and upper peninsulas, making it Michigan's largest multi-venue shoot that year. Recent years have seen expanded programming including the new Cosmic Black Lite League starting in 2026.
