Del-Tone Shooting Range

Del-Tone opened in 1960 and remains the go-to shooting facility for central Minnesota. Located at 3322 12th St. SE in St. Cloud, it's become a destination for hunters sighting in rifles, trap shooters competing in leagues, and newcomers learning to shoot safely.

Four covered rifle ranges sit on solid concrete benches—25, 50, 100, and 200 yard distances. Steel roofing keeps you dry no matter the weather. NRA-certified range safety officers (RSOs) are on duty at all times to monitor safety and help you dial in your scope. Whether you're working up a new load or sighting a muzzleloader, the setup lets you focus on shooting.

Fourteen trap fields mean capacity for singles, handicap, and doubles. Birds are available most days. If you're preparing for fall pheasant season or just want to break clays before the season starts, trap is always set up and ready.

The recently upgraded skeet range and challenging 5 stand course push your shotgun skills beyond the basics. Trophies and seasonal competitions draw shooters looking to improve their game. (Call ahead for skeet and 5 stand availability—320-251-9873.)

Currently under expansion: an elevated shooting platform with targets from 20–50 yards. Sight in on the 20-yard "big board" and work your way out as you hone your skills.

NRA-certified "no blue sky" baffle system under a steel roof. Comfortable, dry, and safe—whether you're new to handguns or maintaining years of proficiency.

Del-Tone runs multiple leagues throughout the year:

• •Fall Youth League (Aug 11–Sept 15): Grades 6–12, free to join, 10 score minimum, shoot here or elsewhere
• •Summer Trap League (May 12–Aug 31): 18 rounds over 16 weeks, 5–10 shooters per team, $100 team fee
• •Skeet League (June 9–Aug 31): 10 rounds, 3–4 shooters per team, $50 team fee, trophies awarded
• •Regular Fall Trap League: 7 rounds, no fee, random team placement
• •Doubles Trap League (June 9–Aug 31): 10 rounds of 50 targets, no fee, trophies for top 2 teams
• •Adult/Youth Trap League (June 9–Aug 31): 10 rounds, one adult + one youth per team, no fee, winners get 4 free rounds

All league shoot-offs and end-of-season party happen Sept 1st, including a free 50-target Lewis class tournament.

Youth shooters have dedicated league options with no registration fee. AIM Youth Trap-Shoots run monthly (100 singles targets, registration at 11 AM, shooting at noon). The range actively supports students in grades 6–12, with coach Todd Kobienia coordinating the Fall Youth League.

Del-Tone is a cold range—all firearms are unloaded except when at the firing line. Photo ID required for rifle and pistol ranges. Non-members check in at the clubhouse before entering. New owner Scott brings high school coaching experience to the operation, offering patient safety training for newcomers and youth.

Camping on-site with water and electrical hookups. Set up camp between sessions and make it a weekend destination. ATA event camping also available. Quiet evenings, peaceful grounds—it's a launch point for exploring the St. Cloud area.

Scope mounting & sighting: One customer reported having a new muzzleloader scope zeroed in about 1 hour 15 minutes—done right and spot on.
