Minnesota Northwoods gives hunters direct access to some of the region's best hunting opportunities. Unlike many states, Minnesota makes public land hunting accessible through well-managed state forests, national forests, state wildlife management areas (WMAs), and federal waterfowl production areas (WPAs)—all abundant with game.
Big Game - Whitetail deer (archery mid-September, firearms early November) - Black bear
