Full description and what we offer
The Bayou Gulf States Chapter of Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA) organizes air rifle competitions and training clinics designed specifically for veterans and their families. Based in Gulfport, Mississippi, the chapter focuses on adaptive shooting sports as part of a broader mission to improve quality of life for veterans with spinal cord injuries or diseases.
This isn't just marksmanship training—it's community. Participants connect with fellow veterans while building discipline and focus through competitive shooting.
The chapter partners with the broader Paralyzed Veterans of America organization (a federally chartered 501(c)(3) nonprofit) to provide experienced instructors and comprehensive support. Events explicitly welcome families and neighbors, creating a genuine community atmosphere rather than an isolating activity.
Location: Gulfport, Mississippi Contact: (228) 206-1515 | [email protected]
The chapter also runs adaptive trapshooting clinics and other veteran-focused events throughout the year. Membership is available, and volunteering opportunities exist for those wanting to support the mission.
This is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization chartered by Congress. All programs serve veterans with spinal cord injuries or diseases, with adaptive accommodations built in from the start.
