Brothers N Arms Gun Range

Brothers N Arms delivers Enhanced Carry Permit instruction at their range on Hwy 49 in Hattiesburg. The course is structured as an 8-hour program that satisfies Mississippi Department of Public Safety requirements for the Enhanced Carry endorsement.

• •Traditional Format: Full day at the range. Check-in at 7:30 AM, training runs 8:00 AM to approximately 4:30 PM. Covers classroom instruction and shooting drills in one session.

• •Blended Format: Complete the classroom portion online at your own pace, then attend only the in-person shooting portion at the range. Finish earlier and skip the all-day commitment.

The curriculum covers: - Safe handling of pistols and revolvers - Shooting fundamentals and marksmanship - Defensive shooting concepts - Mississippi-specific gun laws and use of force statutes

The live fire portion includes universal firearms safety rules, detailed safe handling procedures, and shooting fundamentals. Drills are performed from various yardages and designed to develop consistent proper technique. You'll shoot from standing two-hand position, one-handed strong hand, and one-handed support hand positions. The course concludes with a scored qualification course of fire using a point system.

You receive a certificate recognized by the Mississippi Department of Public Safety. Take it to a Highway Patrol location that processes firearms permits. If you already have a concealed carry permit, they issue a new one with "Instructor Certified" designation. If not, you complete the full application process—the endorsement itself doesn't expire, but your permit renews every five years.
