Gunsmiths Of Liberty spent 7 years building a reputation solid enough that Jake had to stop taking new work just to keep up. That's not a complaint—it's the mark of someone who does the job right.

As of January 1, 2026, Gunsmiths Of Liberty is not accepting new projects. Jake is finishing existing work in the shop but won't take on new gunsmithing jobs. If you're interested in future work, email [email protected]—he may reopen somewhere else down the line.

Jake wasn't happy with brakes that looked tacti-cool on a Model 70 with wood furniture, so he built his own—machined 416 stainless, bored and tapered to match your barrel, offered in 1/2x28, 9/16x24, and 5/8x24 threads. They do the job without the noise.
