Full description and what we offer
High Adventure Ranch operates a hunting preserve in Cook Station, Missouri that's been running whitetail hunts for over 40 years. The ranch spans more than 5 square miles of heavily wooded terrain with thick timber cover and rolling hills—the kind of land where stalking deer is genuinely challenging.
The ranch maintains a quality breeding program with different genetics introduced annually and a limited number of hunts per year. This approach builds larger trophy animals. Most harvests fall in the 140-190 scoring range, with some topping 200.
Rifle Hunts - Spot-and-stalk method across 5+ square miles - Bring your own rifle (.300, .308, 270, 30-30, or 30-06) or rent for $45/day - On-site rifle range for sighting in and adjustments - Most shots taken within 100 yards - Opportunities for longer shots in open fields
Bow Hunts - Spot-and-stalk at 40-50 yard range - Archery range available on-site - Requires accuracy and understanding of deer behavior
Black Powder Hunts - Supported as "high caliber sport hunting"
Post-Hunt Services - Field dressing and skinning by guides - Full meat processing: hand-cut, vacuum-sealed, labeled - Caping available (additional cost) - Taxidermist arrangements available
Staff includes guides with nearly 70 combined years of experience. Two guides have been with the ranch since it opened in 1983. All are local to the terrain and understand Ozark Mountain hunting conditions.
From a father in Wisconsin: "Very challenging. The rugged terrain and hills made it easy for the deer to catch our scent and move over the next hill. This was a real treat!"
Hunters stay at the lodge with meals included. Past guests consistently mention the food quality—wild game prepared to perfection at every meal.
Special accommodations available in field and at camp.
