Location details and information
The Missouri Sport Shooting Association (MSSA) is the state's primary organization dedicated to preserving shooting sports and defending Second Amendment rights. Since their founding, MSSA has worked to keep ranges operational and accessible while building a community of shooters across all skill levels.
- •Marksmanship Training & Competitions - Sponsor and organize shooting competitions throughout Missouri
- •Advocacy & Legal Support - Currently fighting to protect Glendale Shooting Club in Robertsville, whose range has been in legal battle since 1983. The case is now before the Missouri Supreme Court
- •NRA State Association - Official NRA state affiliate offering discounted memberships through MSSA
- •CMP Club Services - Members can purchase historic M1 Garands through the Civilian Marksmanship Program
- •Youth Programs - Junior shooter initiatives funded through M1 Garand drawing proceeds
"If Glendale loses their case, the ruling could negatively impact every shooting range in Missouri."
MSSA is actively mobilizing to support Glendale Shooting Club's legal defense—a critical fight that could determine whether ranges across the state survive similar challenges.
MSSA partners with major organizations including the National Rifle Association, USA Shooting (the National Governing Body for international shooting sports), and the Conservation Federation of Missouri. This network allows MSSA to offer resources, discounts, and opportunities that individual shooters can't access alone.
- •M1 Garand Drawing - Annual raffle supporting junior programs. Tickets are $5 each; winner announced at the MSSA Awards Dinner.
MSSA welcomes gun owners, shooters, collectors, hunters, archers, black powder enthusiasts, and trappers. Membership provides NRA discounts, access to competitions and training events, and the ability to purchase CMP firearms.
