Burke Ranch Outfitters has been running guided hunts since 1979, operating out of base camps 70 miles south of Glasgow in the Larb Hills. The key advantage: they hold one of the few licenses to hunt the Charles M. Russell National Wildlife Refuge, so you get access to terrain and game most outfitters can't touch.
Archery & Rifle Options: - Elk – 6 day hunts in the Missouri Breaks (areas 622, 631, 700). Ground blinds on water holes, tree stands, or spot-and-stalk with calling/decoys. Rarely a day without seeing elk. - Mule Deer – 5 day hunts with boat and 4-wheel drive access. Spot-and-stalk through coulees, draws, badlands, and pines. - Antelope – 3 day hunts on a private 19,000-acre ranch. Near 100% success on archery; rifle tags drawn by lottery. Expect 12-15" bucks. - Bighorn Sheep – 6 day hunts (archery and rifle) - Muzzleloader – Elk and mule deer, 5 day hunts - Cow Elk – 2 day hunts, or add to mule deer hunts
Full-Service Hunts Include: 3 meals daily, lodging, game retrieval, transportation to/from Glasgow. License fees and gratuity not included. Veteran's discount available.
Archery Camp – Wall tents with padded cots, wood-burning stove, 1,000 acres of private ranch, outdoor heated shower.
Rifle Camps – Two primary camps plus satellite locations across Southern and Northern Valley County. Wall tents, padded cots, outdoor shower, outhouse.
Rock Creek Camp – Step up option: 1-2 bedroom cabins with kitchen access, hot springs pool, sauna, and hot tub nearby (Sleeping Buffalo).
They keep 2 hunters per guide as standard (1-on-1 available). Groups, families, and individuals welcome. Observer fees available. Optional trip insurance and detailed cancellation policy on their site.
