Central Nebraska Outfitters

Central Nebraska Outfitters operates out of Ogallala, positioned directly on the main choke point of the Central Flyway along the Platte Rivers. That location advantage means birds funneling through on migration—lots of them.

Jim Martinosky owns and operates the outfitter with nearly 40 years of hunting experience under his belt. He's a Nebraska native, trapper, and deer hunting specialist. His son Riley works as a professional guide, actively researching new hunting methods and working with his hunting dog, Slam. Jared Eakins rounds out the team—a 10-year guide veteran who's been hunting since age 14 and prioritizes putting clients on waterfowl with the best possible hunt experience.

• •Duck Hunting takes place on the North and South Platte Rivers near Paxton, covering 14 miles of prime water. Groups hunt from 12' heated blinds built on the riverbanks, plus field blinds and A-frame blinds designed for comfort. They use top-tier decoys and well-trained Labs for retrieval. Water temps stay around 56 degrees from warm spring-fed creeks; depth runs 6–24 inches. Steel shot (#4 or #2) required. $1,400/day/blind with 4-hunter max.

• •Goose Hunting features greater Canadian geese in cornfields bordering the Platte. Two hunting styles: heated underground 14' and 20' pits, plus layout blinds. Late-season Canada goose hunts run late January into early February. Pricing: $325 per gun (2–4 hunters) or $300 per gun (5–8 hunters).

• •Spring Snow Goose Hunts offer no limits on snow, Ross's, and blue geese. They hunt cornfields and water using layout blinds for that up-close experience. Premium full-body decoys and electronic callers with authentic snow goose sounds. 12-gauge #2, #BB, or #BBB shot in 3" loads. $300 per hunter per day (6-hunter minimum to hold field; groups under 6 are combined).
