Full description and what we offer
Lower Platte Archery Club operates a completely free youth archery program with no membership requirements. Parents don't need to join the club—their kids can participate at zero cost. The club believes getting kids interested in archery early builds lifelong participation, whether they shoot competitively or hunt later on.
Tuesdays at 6pm – 8pm | Larry Elston Archery Range at Schramm State Park
The summer league runs a 20-target walk-through course for experienced shooters while beginner instructors work with new archers. A parent or guardian must accompany youth participants.
Club provides youth-sized bows if kids don't have equipment yet. If they decide archery's for them, parents can buy their own gear down the road.
Zero cost entry removes barriers. No equipment requirement means a kid can show up and try archery without their parents buying anything upfront. Instruction scales with experience—beginners get fundamentals, intermediate shooters get skill refinement, and competitive youth get mentorship from experienced hunters.
