Full description and what we offer
Kings Hill Outfitters sits on a fourth-generation family ranch in the Nebraska Sandhills near Arnold. Guide Rick Peterson has hunted this property for over 40 years and brings four decades of teaching and coaching experience to every hunt. His knowledge of the terrain, deer movement patterns, and seasonal behavior shapes how the operation runs.
"The ranch is a small slice of heaven in the Nebraska Sandhills. You can be assured of a quality experience in an intimate setting with Rick as your guide." — Jim Sebastian, Colorado
Kings Hill takes only 4 hunters per year total—and they're booked through 2029. This extreme selectivity means you hunt alone (or with a small group of your choice) on the entire ranch. No competing hunters. No crowded stands.
Each hunt includes: - Private lodging in a brand-new 2021 Palomino Columbus Compass Series Fifth Wheel - Home-cooked meals (breakfast, field lunch, dinner) - 1-on-1 guide ratio - Field transportation from lodging to hunting properties (10-minute drive) - Caping of all deer for transport to your taxidermist
Lunch is provided in the field. Hunting continues until 30 minutes after sunset, depending on conditions. Back at the lodge: home-cooked supper and rest.

Rick Peterson's blog entries show what separates this operation: deep ranch knowledge translated into real advantage. In one post, he noted that Nebraska deer survive harsh winters better than mule deer in Wyoming (where die-offs hit 50-70%)—because they have access to cornfields, alfalfa bales, and silage pits. That's the kind of terrain knowledge that puts hunters in the right spot.
New hunters are welcomed regardless of skill level. Parent-child hunts are encouraged for hunters looking to create lasting memories.
