American Legion Post 76 chartered on September 28, 1994, serves veterans of all eras and their families across western and northwestern Las Vegas. The post takes its name "Spirit of Freedom" from the membership's reflection on the freedoms gained from independence in 1776—a connection reflected in their logo design featuring the Minute Man soldier ready to defend country and freedoms.
This is a membership-based veterans organization that operates as a hub for veteran services, community support, and youth development. The post holds general meetings at 1:30 pm on the 3rd Sunday of most months.
