Full description and what we offer
New Frontier Armory opened in August 2009 and built its reputation doing the opposite of what most gun shops do: treating every customer the same way regardless of purchase size. A $16 holster gets the same attention as a $2,000 rifle.
When founder David "Guido" Famiglietti started NFA, he decided to stay active in local shooting communities, bringing products to events so people could actually feel and try gear before buying. That grassroots approach stuck. Within a couple years, the shop had enough foot traffic that expansion plans were already underway—the plan was to double the footprint by moving into available space next door.
NFA stocks: - Firearms: AR-15s, AK-47s, precision bolt guns, handguns (Glock, Sig Sauer, and more) - Ammunition: 99% of the time they have what you need; if not, it arrives within a week (earned serious credibility during ammo droughts by scoring 500-round blocks of .45 ACP when competitors had nothing) - Reloading supplies: Expanded into this category as demand grew - Tactical gear: Holsters, mag pouches, medical kits, survival kits - Class 3 items available - Transfers: Handles transfers on precision bolt guns and other firearms from private sellers - Glock public safety pricing: Authorized Glock dealer and GSSF program signup available
CMF Tactical Outfitters (the sister store on the east side) operates the indoor range here, but NFA customers have range access options. If you're looking for dedicated NFA range facilities based on this review, call ahead—the focus here is retail and community engagement.
Multiple customers specifically mention being greeted by staff within seconds of walking in, even when the store is packed. No "why do you want to talk to the owner?" gatekeeping. No condescending attitudes. Employees will answer the same basic question five times in one day without attitude. This matters because gun shops aren't always known for this.
"Even with a store full of people and an event going on next door, nobody was left waiting without at least being greeted." — 702Shooter review
One customer drove from Laughlin (over an hour away) regularly just because of how they were treated on a $16 purchase.

Call or email before making a long drive if you're looking for something specific. When the shop is slammed (which is often), it can take time to get a question answered despite staff's best efforts.
1. They'll special order almost anything and get it within a week 2. Competitive pricing on purchases ranging from $16 to $2,000+ 3. Glock Sport Shooting Foundation (GSSF) membership setup with public safety pricing available on the spot 4. Gunsmith services on-site (mentioned in reviews) 5. AR build support: Customers bought lowers and uppers here, with staff helping match components 6. Known for actually having ammo when competitors are dry
During ammo shortages, NFA managed to keep supply flowing when most shops were empty. During the "ammo drought" period, they sourced 500-round blocks of .45 ACP—significant enough that customers specifically mentioned it in reviews years later. This isn't luck; it's relationship building with distributors.
They also expanded into AR lowers and components, with 702Shooter running giveaways for their LW-15 lowers and basic LW-15 builds, signaling product development beyond standard retail.
From opening day in August 2009 through multiple review cycles (2010-2014), every mention shows steady growth: more inventory, busier store, staff expansion, consideration of larger space. Customers from other parts of the valley started making the drive north specifically for NFA.
