Monty Turner founded Gun Training Reno in 1995 after taking three CCW classes and finding them all deficient in safety, knowledge, and legal content. That frustration turned into a mission: proper firearms instruction that actually covers what matters.

Monty Turner (President) has been training since 1982. He's an NRA Training Counselor, worked armored car security, managed Mustang Range, and completed advanced training through LMS Defense, Sig Sauer, HOG Tactical, and Nevada POST. He's licensed across seven counties and has taught law enforcement in Nevada, Oregon, Alaska, Massachusetts, Maine, California, and Germany.

Joe Welles – NRA certified in pistol, rifle, shotgun, and personal protection. Also Utah CFP certified and recognized by Florida. Known for creating an enjoyable class atmosphere.

Chris Frizzell – NRA instructor, CCW certified, FFL holder. Specializes in holster work and home/outside protection.

Lewis Viljoen & Mathew Ryssman – Both instructors and FFL holders.

Tony Klein – Extensive law enforcement and firearms training background.
