Silver State Claybreakers started in 2002 with just 5 youth shooters. Today, they operate 7 regional chapters across Nevada with hundreds of competitive athletes, all coached by NRA-certified volunteers who give their time at no cost.

In just a few years, they increased Nevada State Shoot youth entries from 2 to 126. Their 2008 "Rookie" team (3rd-5th graders) won First Place at the ATA Grand American.
Every new athlete receives:
No athlete sits on the sidelines regardless of skill level. Everyone competes within their peer group.
Every coach is NRA-certified and has completed "Double Goal Coaching" training—emphasizing athlete well-being over winning at all costs. Notable coaches include:

All 7 regional groups operate under NYSSA bylaws while developing programs suited to their local areas.
