Shooters Outpost operates as a family-run, female and veteran-owned gun store with two retail locations across New Hampshire. The original Hooksett store at 1158 Hooksett Rd features a Firearms Museum, while the newer Amherst location at 141 Route 101A expanded their reach across the state. Both stores are open six days a week with extended hours to serve working shooters.
Store Hours: - Hooksett: Sun 10am-5pm, Mon-Sat 10am-6pm - Amherst: Sun 10am-4pm, Wed-Sat 10am-6pm (Closed Mon-Tue)
Shooters Outpost has built a comprehensive training program through partnerships with Manchester Firing Line (MFL). Classes range from zero-experience to advanced professional-level instruction:
Beginner Classes: - Intro to Gun Ownership Seminar (FREE, 2 hours, no live fire) — Covers safety, legal transport, storage, range etiquette, and basic maintenance - MFL Basic Pistol Course ($100, 2 hours live fire) — Handgun types, loading/unloading, selecting the right gun for your needs
Intermediate & Self-Defense: - NRA Personal Protection in the Home ($165 single / $140 per person groups, 11 hours with 3 hours live fire) — Accepted for CCW requirements in MA and most states - NRA Personal Protection Outside the Home ($225 single / $200 per person groups, 14 hours with 6 hours live fire) — Advanced self-defense skills, drawing from concealment, use of cover - Practical Handgun Clinic ($150, 4 hours live fire) — Beyond-basics tactical skills, drawing, reloading, malfunction clearing, ~250 rounds needed
Rifle & Tactical: - MFL Residential/Tactical Rifle Clinic ($150, 4 hours live fire) — AR-15 focus with sight adjustment, moving and shooting, team tactics, reactive target scenarios - Advanced Practical Handgun Clinic — Builds on PHC with low-light shooting, weak-hand draw, tactical flashlight technique, target identification
Professional & Specialized: - Advanced CCW Class ($150, 4 hours with 2 hours live fire) — NH court cases, legal aspects of carry, holster options, judgment and awareness - NH Firearms Certification — Meets RSA 106-F:8c for armed guards and private investigators, covers deadly force law, FBI Q target qualification - Protecting Houses of Worship Seminar (FREE) — Security team establishment, communication, coordination with law enforcement - CCW's Role in an Active Shooter Situation (4 hours) — Armed citizen dynamics in active shooter scenarios
Private Instruction: - Private Firearm Lessons ($75/hour for 1 person, +$25 per additional person, plus range fees) — One-on-one instruction with master instructor. Bring your own firearm or rent from MFL.

Northeast Gunworks gunsmith George provides comprehensive firearms services. Pickups occur every Friday with returns the following Friday (with some exceptions). Items can be left at the reloading counter.
Optic Mounting: - $50 if optic not purchased at Shooters Outpost - $35 if one item (firearm or optic) purchased at Shooters Outpost - FREE if both firearm and optic purchased at Shooters Outpost
Typically completed during the week; weekend appointments available if store is slow.
Shooters Outpost actively supports veteran causes. Through their Harbor Homes/Veterans First program, they've raised significant funds for homeless veterans in New Hampshire, including running raffles like their M1 Garand drawing.
