Guns New Mexico Classifieds exists because the major platforms—eBay, Craigslist, and Facebook—won't allow personal firearms sales. Older local websites forced sellers to pay for listings and used outdated software. The site was created to fill that gap with a modern, free platform that respects New Mexico's shooting community.
This is a peer-to-peer classifieds platform, not a retail store. Individual users list items they want to buy, sell, trade, or give away. The site covers all 50 states for shipped items, but focuses on major New Mexico cities:
Regional Coverage: - Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Rio Rancho - Las Cruces, Roswell, Farmington - Alamogordo, Carlsbad, Gallup - Plus 20+ other NM cities and out-of-state shipping
The platform handles everything outdoors-related and legal:

New Mexico FFL Requirements: All person-to-person firearm sales require a federal background check as of 2019. Non-firearm parts and accessories don't require FFL transfers. The platform recommends meeting at a local FFL to complete transactions safely and legally.
The site takes fraud seriously with these guidelines:
NEVER SEND DEPOSITS FOR ANY REASON
- •Meet in person at safe public locations (preferably at an FFL)
- •Use escrow services if shipping
- •If buying shipped items, have them delivered to a reputable local FFL for inspection before payment
- •Never send cryptocurrency, Venmo, or untraceable payments upfront
- •Beware of sellers who want payment before shipping
- •Important Disclaimer: Guns New Mexico Classifieds is a platform only. The site doesn't vouch for item authenticity or seller legitimacy. All listings are from individual users without certification. Users agree to follow all federal and state firearms laws.
Response time for customer inquiries: Generally within 24 hours (excluding weekends and holidays).
The site actively encourages users to report illegal listings and scams, with immediate removal of violations. Questions about city coverage, account issues, or FFL requirements? Contact the team through the website's contact form.
- •The Bottom Line: For New Mexico shooters tired of banned platforms and paid classifieds, Guns New Mexico offers a free, functional alternative that respects the local firearms community.
