Triple C Outfitters guides hunters to free-ranging oryx across New Mexico, with two distinct hunt options that fit different tag draw odds and trophy expectations.
These hunts take place on White Sands Missile Range properties and occur only 6 months per year. You can harvest either a bull or cow oryx. Key facts:
These public land hunts run 10 months per year across vast desolate terrain surrounding White Sands. Better odds than On-Range draws. Details:
Michael Clifton founded Triple C Outfitters after growing up hunting southeastern New Mexico. He holds a biology degree from the University of New Mexico and has built a guide team of full-time residents with minimum 7 years professional guiding experience in their home units.
Guide staff includes: - Strait Sedillo — Guides 200+ days/year, specializes in hound work and elk calling - Steve Doolittle — 30 years hunting New Mexico; scouts nearly every weekend - Pete Carrasco — Lifetime southeastern NM resident; elk, barbary sheep, antelope specialist - Ryan Bledsoe — Expertise across all NM big game species; Persian Ibex enthusiast - Clifford Simpson — Elite elk caller; known for pairing clients with big bulls
Triple C handles the heavy lifting with free application service for New Mexico Big Game Draw tags. Here's how it works:
1. They prepare and submit your oryx application (deadline: March 18, 2026) 2. If you draw, 50% deposit due within 30 days of notification 3. Final 50% due two weeks before hunt start date 4. No deposit required until you actually draw your tag
"We can guarantee that when you hunt with us you will experience the best outfitted hunt the west has to offer." — Michael Clifton
Pricing excludes: 7% New Mexico sales tax, state license cost, meat processing/butchering, taxidermy, guide gratuity, and transportation to hunting camp.
Oryx in New Mexico offer trophy hunting similar to African hunts — without the passport and international travel. These free-ranging animals are established on both federal and public lands, with mature animals routinely scoring in the 32"-40" range. On-Range hunts guarantee you'll get in front of game (100% shot opportunity); Off-Range hunts offer higher draw odds but require more days afield.

Triple C also offers hunts for elk (archery, muzzleloader, rifle), mule deer, pronghorn, Barbary sheep, Merriam turkey, and quail. They provide a complete trip planner and license fee guidance on their website.
