Full description and what we offer
Young Gun Outfitters was established in 2024 by Tyler Sanchez, a New Mexico native who grew up hunting with his dad. After guiding for several top outfitters across New Mexico, Arizona, and Colorado, Sanchez decided to build his own legacy. The operation is family-run and built on hard work, dedication, and faith.
What separates them from other outfitters in the state is simple: they intentionally limit client numbers each year to ensure everyone gets the attention they need on what could be a once-in-a-lifetime hunt.
Your hunt starts way before you arrive at camp. Young Gun's team puts countless days in the field during the off-season, constantly scouting to build a solid game plan for opening morning. This preparation is foundational to their success.
New Mexico Elk: Hunts are conducted mostly on public land with permits obtained through the state's draw/lottery system. They also hold unit-wide guaranteed landowner tags. They specialize in Game Management Units 10, 12, 13, 15, all of 16s, 17, 34, and 36, though the team has experience statewide.
Arizona Elk: Arizona offers world-class elk hunting. If you have points ready to burn or want guidance on where and how to apply, they can put together a custom plan.
Fully Guided + Accommodations includes food, lodging, transportation during the hunt, and full game care (field care, trophy prep, quartering, packing, and caping for mounts). Lodging varies by location—hotel, personal wall tent, or cabins.

During these two days, guides show you areas to continue hunting if unsuccessful.
