Full description and what we offer
Adirondack Mountain & Stream Guide Service has been leading hunting adventures since 1985. Owner Jamie Frasier started as a guide and packer in the Adirondacks and Alaska, and built the operation into a full guide service with a dedicated team of experienced seasonal guides. Frasier also runs Frasier Taxidermy, preserving the memories of successful hunts.
Located in Olmstedville, NY (northern Adirondack region), the business specializes in backcountry hunting across the six-million-acre Adirondack Park—a vast wilderness of expansive forests, rugged mountains, and remote terrain.
Adirondack Mountain & Stream specializes in backcountry deer hunts with rifles or muzzleloaders. Your guide tailors the hunt to your style—hunting deep wilderness during the day while staying at recommended B&Bs and hotels, or multi-day pack-in hunts with tent camps set up in remote terrain.
"Big woods, vast terrain, and unpredictable weather make for some of the toughest yet most rewarding hunts in the Northeast."
Hunt Options: - Day hunts – Hunt the Adirondack wilderness, return to lodging each night - Extended backcountry hunts – Pack-in tent camps for multi-day remote hunts
Hare hunting with hounds is fast-paced and deeply rooted in regional tradition. Guides locate fresh tracks, position hunters along escape routes, then release the hounds. The chase circles repeatedly, offering multiple shot opportunities.
If you own bird dogs, guides will customize a trip so you hunt alongside your own dogs while benefiting from local expertise and knowledge of game movement.
Varmint hunts take place December through March, with colder months being most productive. Requires patience, persistence, and skill—but the reward is an exciting, unique Adirondack adventure.
