Full description and what we offer
Blue Talon Firearms Training serves Clinton, Hamilton, Warren, and Washington Counties with instruction from a military veteran who knows the difference between theoretical firearms knowledge and practical skill. Ian's approach: give shooters the confidence to safely handle, operate, and store firearms—then help them actually shoot better.
New York requires 16 hours of training plus 2 hours of live fire for pistol permit applicants. Blue Talon splits this into two 8-hour days with range qualifications on day two.
- •What's included: All ammunition, targets, range fees, firearms, eye and ear protection, and course materials. You must attend both days and pass the written exam and range qualifications to receive full credit.
"Ian recognized a void in the firearms industry for female shooters and organized a way to connect female shooters...Ian served as the RSO for several months and certified our original members with an NRA Basic Pistol course. Ladies of Liberty, Brassy & Sassy is grateful for Ian's time and patience as he worked to train women of all skill levels." — Leaders of Ladies of Liberty, Brassy & Sassy Chapter
