Broome County Sportsmen's Association started in 1917 and still operates as one of upstate New York's core shooting communities. With 700+ members, BCSA runs sanctioned facilities approved for competitive events—including hosting matches during the New York Empire State Games.
General membership ($60/year) covers: - Outdoor rifle range - Outdoor pistol range - Outdoor archery & air rifle ranges - Bathroom access with door code
Optional indoor range add-on ($95/year) for rimfire rifles and handguns.
BCSA runs organized leagues and events throughout the year:

Membership Year runs September 1 – August 31. New codes issued around October 1st annually. Processing typically takes 7-10 days by mail.
General meetings happen the third Wednesday of every month at 7PM in the clubhouse—open to all members. Directors meetings follow and you're welcome to attend. The club publishes a quarterly newsletter and maintains an active Facebook page for schedule updates.
Multiple range safety officers oversee operations. Competitive match participation may include small additional fees beyond membership.
Guests can attend with a regular member using a guest pass, though guest passes are separate from the club's public event schedule.
