Britt Firearms has been serving civilian shooters and law enforcement in the greater New York area since the early 1980s. Located at 89 Mineola Blvd—just 200 feet from the LIRR station and less than an hour from midtown Manhattan—the shop combines retail sales, gunsmithing, and a private membership club all under one roof.
The store maintains a fully stocked retail operation with firearms and accessories from nearly all major manufacturers. They also buy and sell used guns, and accept trade-ins toward new purchases. Appraisals are done in-house.
Their gunsmithing shop handles:
- •Recoil pad installation
- •Scope mounting and installation
- •Stock refinishing and repairs
- •General firearm repairs
- •Custom gunsmithing work
The on-premises 3-point range supports a private membership club. First-year membership is $450 and includes instruction in basic firearms safety and marksmanship using Glock, Smith & Wesson, Beretta, Walther, Colt, and Sig-Sauer. Certificates are awarded upon completion of each training phase. Renewal membership drops to $150/year. There is a waiting list to join.
Experienced instructors have been leading firearms safety training here for over 40 years.
