Monroe County 4-H to offer Shooting Sports course

Monroe County 4-H offers youth-focused Shooting Sports training through Cornell Cooperative Extension, providing air rifle instruction to young shooters aged 9-18 in the Rochester, New York area. This program embraces the 4-H motto "Learn by Doing" by combining hands-on training with comprehensive safety education.

The Shooting Sports course focuses specifically on air rifle training and competition, with instruction led by certified 4-H instructors who have completed New York State Shooting Sports Leadership Training and passed background checks. All instructors are dedicated shooting sports enthusiasts committed to teaching proper safety protocols and shooting form.

Course sessions are held at two premier shooting facilities:
