Stillwater Rod & Gun Club

Stillwater Rod & Gun Club, established in 1935 and incorporated in 1951, is located in Easton, New York. Its members pursue a mix of outdoor interests including boating, fishing, target shooting, and archery, alongside teaching younger members and neighbors about safety and marksmanship.

Outside of special events, the range is used for rifle, pistol, and shotgun shooting as well as archery. Each year the club hosts a public rimfire shooting competition, the Chicken Shoot, run in an iron-sight class at 25 yards and a scoped class at 50 yards, open to members and the public alike. While the Chicken Shoot is underway, the range is reserved exclusively for that event and all other shooting is paused.
