The Flipside Airsoft Field opened in 2022 and has built out two distinct playing environments: a woodland field and an urban field with multiple buildings and walls. They actively expand the field every week and completely redesign the layout once monthly—so repeat players never get the exact same game twice.
Located at 1113 Sweatman Ave, Oneida, NY 13421, the facility sits just 20 minutes from Rome, 30 minutes from Syracuse, and 40 minutes from Utica in upstate New York. The operation is fully insured and designed to be family-oriented while still supporting competitive players who want structured events.
Open Play & Competitive Days - Open play sessions: $10 admission, $12 lunch - Event days (monthly): $20 admission, $10 lunch - Basic season pass: $60 (covers all open play days for the year) - Check the calendar for exact dates—recent open plays scheduled for June 9th, June 23rd (with annual flea market), July 7th, and July 21st
Pro Shop & Rentals - Guns available for rental or purchase - Ammo and airsoft gear in stock - Online store via HopUp for browsing inventory before visiting

Mandatory Equipment: Gun, face protection/goggles (ASTM F-1776 rated or better), red dead rag, red dead light, camouflage matching team colors. Helmets, boots, knee pads, and gloves recommended.
Key Rules: - Biodegradable BBs only—no metal or ceramic - Semi-auto only (except approved support weapons, capped at 35 RPS) - No hand-to-hand combat, knife kills, or touch kills - No mesh goggles; full-seal systems required - Goggle removal on field = automatic ejection - All weapons chrono'd by staff; tampering after chronograph results in immediate ejection - No barricading doors/windows, no riot shields, no verbal abuse - No drugs, alcohol, or stealing
Respawn System: Players use a rope-based medic respawn. When hit, call "Medic"—a teammate ties a knot in your rope to revive you. After 3 knots, you proceed to the waiting area until the game ends.
