Kent Rod & Gun Club started in 1948 and has spent nearly eight decades as a cornerstone of the shooting sports community in Putnam County, New York. They're an NRA Gold Medal Club – meaning they meet strict standards for facility maintenance, instruction, and community involvement.
This is a membership-based shooting club. The club focuses on:
- •Trap shooting – They recently completed a major upgrade to their trap house with new clay thrower equipment
- •Firearms practice ranges – Available for members and guests
- •Sighting-in services – Hunters preparing firearms before season
- •Shooting competitions – Including their popular Annual Turkey Shoot
- •Member events – Family fishing contests, Friends & Family BBQ (August), food competitions, and seasonal activities
Annual Turkey Shoot: October event with breakfast, lunch, and shooting matches. $25/person, additional rounds $5 each. Slug guns and muzzleloaders welcome. NO rimfire.
